Forodhani Food Stalls

The Forodhani night market brings the Forodhani Gardens to life in the evenings. With a variety of food stalls selling BBQ seafood and meats, schwarma, traditional zanizbari pizza, desserts, cut to order fruit slices and freshly prepared sugar cane juice. The markets have something to tantalise all types of tastebuds. 

The markets are set up daily at the Forodhani gardens, located along the main sidewalk of Stone Town, just in front of the most famous buildings of the city.

The gardens are a wonderful place to walk in the evenings, as they offer the opportunity to see local kids and teens jumping from the sidewalk into the ocean as the sun sets in the distance. There is something magic about revelling in the local life with a fresh sea breeze coming off the ocean as the local business men and women set up their stalls for the evening food market.
