Swahili Culture Day
9:00 – 9:30 AM – Pick up from Zanzibar Town or South East Coast
10:00 AM – Begin your day by exploring African innovation and trade stories, discovering the rich history and influence of Zanzibar in the region.
10:30 AM – Visit the Swahili House Museum to learn about traditional Zanzibari architecture, featuring houses made from clay and coconut trees.
11:00 AM – Enjoy a refreshing swim in the stunning Kuza Cave’s clear, mineral-rich waters.
11:30 AM – Participate in a Swahili cooking class, where you’ll learn to prepare authentic dishes using local spices.
1:00 PM – Enjoy a delicious lunch featuring the dishes you’ve helped prepare.
2:00 PM – Engage in an exciting drumming lesson, learning the rhythms and techniques of traditional Swahili music.
3:00 PM – Join a jam session to practice and enjoy the music you’ve learned.
3:30 PM – Watch a traditional dance performance that showcases the rich cultural heritage of Zanzibar.
4:30 PM – Drop off – Conclude your Swahili Culture day.
