Dressed in Zanzibari traditional clothes (very thin, light cotton kanga with Swahili proverbs), Mama Riziki taught us how to cook delicious traditional dishes: chapati, coconut rice, and sugar bean vegetables.
This traditional clothe is a unique "talking clothes" which is also painted on the walls of local homes, in support of the āDonāt forgetā arts and culture project in Zanzibar by TUI Care Foundation and Assalam Community Foundation.
This experience fully immerses us in the daily life of Kanga Village.
