Mnemba Zanzibar Północny TZ
See route
Mnemba Atoll is a protected marine area off north eastern Zanzibar near Matemwe, with excellent visibility depths ranging from 10 to 30 meters. It includes the small triangular island of Mnemba and a reef area of roughly 2 by 4 miles. This breathtaking marine ecosystem is famous for sightings of green turtles and dolphins that like to join you as you snorkel or dive; depending on the season, you may even spot migrating humpback whales, who announce their presence with an occasional spout of water.
The price per person (also children from 10 years) is always US$ 50 no matter how many persons join - max 12 guests on the same boat. Including sterilized quality snorkelling equipment, a wetsuit & professional instructor, Mnemba Atoll Conservation Area fee, drinking water, tea, local snacks, seasonal fruits & 12% VAT. You will enjoy two 45-minute long snorkelling sessions at different sites. In between your snorkel stops you will have a 45-minute break with snacks and tea. Following your last stop, the boat will return to the dive centre. If you have never dived before but would like to (instead of snorkelling), you can also consider the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program!

It is possible to spot dolphins either from the boat or while snorkelling. However, please note that there is no guarantee to see them because they remain wild animals in their ocean!

The ability to swim is not necessary for this activity. You can snorkel with a life jacket, assisted by a life ring and your guide. Please inform us in advance if you cannot swim! This trip is not suitable for children below 10 years.
